FilmFest 2011 NEWS & UPDATES

The festival is an event geared towards a general audience from 5 to 105 years old.  Therefore all films submitted must conform to a PG rating as defined by the Motion Picture Association of America. There may be some mild profanity but gratuitous violence, overt sexual behavior, depiction of drug use and nudity are not permissible. Dress that is suitable for public places (ie: the beach) is acceptable. The final decision on eligibility is at the sole discretion of the Ashfield Film Festival judges.

  • PG   Parental Guidance Suggested. Some Material May Not Be Suitable For Young Children
  • Thanks to the generous community support, the Ashfield FilmFest continues to be self-supporting. This year the FilmFest Committee has chosen the Ashfield Town Hall Restoration Committee, to be the third Annual recipient of their “share our proceeds” policy.
  • In order to promote our local music scene, original music will be encouraged and a new technical prize category has been added within which original music will be considered.  If other than original music is used, all rights must be obtained, in writing, for any copyrighted music used in your entry.
